Scott McClean (1962-2013)
Gone but NEVER Forgotten -
Thank you for making this site possible! |
There was a time a few weeks ago when I thought this old blog had up and disappeared. For nine years I was hosted at Scott's website mcclean.org - and a year after his untimely passing, that is no more. To my surprise, we are still up at the blogspot so let's see what's been going on since the last post.
ONE MORE FOR THE ROAD
I will be traveling to the Ohio Bigfoot Conference with Bob Gimlin in late April. The longest-running annual bigfoot conference is held at beautiful Salt Fork State Park near Cambridge, Ohio - known for its bigfoot history and an historic lodge. This is a gathering of bigfoot researchers and enthusiasts from all over the region - and the country - and boasts the perfect setting for such a gathering. We will be traveling with John Kirk, president of the British Columbia Scientific Cryptozoology Club (BCSCC) and meeting up with many colleagues and friends. If you are able to attend, please do so.

BIGFOOTSONGS04 - My YouTube Channel - Worth a Look These Days
I have uploaded some very interesting videos in the last month. An excellent lecture by Dr. Jeff Meldrum at the opening gala of the SASQUATCH REVEALED exhibit at the Columbia Gorge Discovery Center and Museum in The Dalles, Oregon is posted in 3 parts. The December 28, 2013 event featured talks by Christopher L. Murphy (exhibit creator and curator), Dr. Jeff Meldrum, Bob Gimlin and Thomas Steenburg (Sasquatch investigator and author from British Columbia, Canada). Jeff's presentation "Sasquatch and Other Wildmen" presents the evidence for the existence of an undiscovered species of relic hominids living in our midst. If you don't have time to watch all three, be sure to watch Part 2 and 3.

Other videos I have posted reflect my musical interest and background. Two are original songs I wrote before the bigfoot bug took hold of my guitar - and a great, unreleased bigfoot song by rockabilly legend Buddy Knox. Back in 2005 I detailed on this blog how Buddy Knox came to be out in the Cascade Mountains with Roger Patterson and Bob Gimlin in 1968 after they had obtained the famous footage. This gem of a bigfoot song was brought forth from Victoria, B.C. in May 2005 and is always on our playlist on the way to the forest.
