That's it for now.  The last segment of this journey involved our encounter with Bobcat Goldthwait and his independent movie crew.  They were in town at Bigfoot Books shooting interviews with Steven Streufert and Cliff Barackman.  Somehow we ended up at the Gambi Hill Cabins shooting an impromptu performance of my bigfoot song "Roger and Bob (Rode Out That Day)" - that was pretty cool on a hot day in Willow Creek!  Terry videotaped the whole thing while Scott and Todd captured it in photos. Ha! Yes, it would be great to be B-Roll in an independent bigfoot movie...we'll have to wait and see.

Sharing More Photos from a Week at Bluff Creek

Terry enjoys a quiet moment an empty Louse Camp.

View back down on Louse Camp - somewhere in the middle of all these tree covered mountains.

Here are some photos from our time traveling around the area.  One day we drove into Orleans, CA to get ice and that included a stop at the ranger station to chat with the folks there.  They had some interesting art in the lobby.  Then we went up Bluff Creek Road to Fish Lake. It's a beautiful location. Most interesting of all are the old bridges along these roads - not too many of them - but they were built in the Jerry Crew era of road construction into this national forest.

The bridge over Bluff Creek one mile from Louse Camp on Forest Road 12N13.
In 1967, a dozer bladed rough road ran along the creek from here upstream.
It's now an overgrown trace that we walk along to look for tracks.

Here's a view of the (paved) G-O Road.
What a joy to drive this uncompleted mountain highway.
Steep at times, I call it a 'brake burner'.
