BFRO report 26522BAY AREA BIGFOOT RESEARCHWe'll be meeting again this Sunday, March 11th at 4:00 p.m. at the Round Table Pizza in San Mateo, CA.
I'd describe this as dinner, discussion and a movie. We've always aimed to model these meetings after Ray Crowe's well-attended dinner meetings in Portland, Oregon, but have yet to find the bigfoot pulse in the Bay Area.
So, we're keeping things informal and hoping to share what we know. I'll have some footprint casts to share and a binder of materials, photos and articles on bigfoot. Also will bring along some of my favorite books.
We'll be discussing the latest news in bigfoot research over the last month and any information we might have about bigfoot in California.
(one of the latest items to discuss in the last month: bigfoot's grey hairy back! photo copyright and courtesy of the American Bigfoot Society. This photo was sent to a researcher 4 years ago and was just recently published. Devoid of contextual information and submitted by a witness reluctant to divulge critical information, it will remain a topic of debate in the bigfoot research community. Is it real or a hoax? who knows? Interstesting, though!)Instead of a speaker, we'll be showing the classic documentary "Sasquatch Odyssey" from 4:30 - 5:40 p.m. Afterwards, we'll have time to talk in small groups.
(This film poses fundamental questions about the origins of man, while reveling in the sub-culture which surrounds the bigfoot mystery. This is the story of the hunt for bigfoot and the four old-men who have been searching for the elusive, mythical creature for the last 40 years. Inspired by the discovery of Yeti (abominable snowman) tracks in Nepal in the early 1950's, followed by giant footprints in Northern California in 1958, these young adventurers set out to find an animal which science said didn't exist.)Of course, all the fare from Round Table Pizza will be available.
Come join us for an evening of good people & good discussion - and you'll still be home in time for
the Simpsons and
Family Guy! :-) oh, and
Finding Bigfoot, too!
